Day 26 of 30: I miss my lady :(

A gorgeous day. It was warm, sunny and breezy. Everyone here says that this year’s weather is a bit freakish. Apparently it’s usually much hotter and never rainy about this time of year. I’d say 20% of the days have been nice for most of the day and 80% mostly crappy. But hey…we all have our moments or years, I guess. 

Today we took full advantage of the day and went for a walk in my favorite part of town. It’s the area around the Louvre and the Jardin de Tuileries. It’s always full of lively people just wondering about, lots of kids, families, and couples. Everyone just happy to be and it shows. With the gorgeous backdrop of the Louvre and the wild flower gardens, you can’t help but feel good. We soaked up some sun until poor Erin’s porcelain skin could take no more and took shelter in a café in the park. There we sipped espresso and reminisced. It was literally picture perfect.

From there to rest up a bit and get ready for my first Parisian date. A handsome young attorney and most impressive…a non smoker in Paris! I could tell you a million wonderful things about him and I barely know him. It’s a bit scary. After finishing up at a café in the Marais we head back to hang out with Erin on her last night in Paris. Wine, fruit and what apparently is a repulsive cheese to the knowing, some sort of Camembert. In my defense, that’s the best they had at the late night grocer…plus I’m American. I could hardly tell what was wrong with it. It was cheese after all and that’s always right. Lol…truth be told, I look forward to learning more. 

We youtubed our favorite songs and chat it up like maniacs. Talked about everything under the sun; Politics, food, music, lifestyle on either side of the pond. We solved world hunger and then saved the baby seals. Can’t remember right now. It was kind of late so I’ll get back to you on that. Any who…It was a relaxing ending to what was 17 day of the most memorable times with the best buddy I gal could ask for. Thank you Lady. I love you and a special thanks to Cosme for lending me his wonderful wife for so long. You are the shit!
