Day 12 of 30: The secret behind the American appeal. Oooo-la-la

It’s all started with lunch, accompanied by our dear friend Pepe. Pepe is a movie star. His beauty is unmatched in this town. We shared a tiboule  and tofu salad. He took our breath away. Disney wishes they had such hot talent. You see it was raining on the Champs Elysees so we had to duck in to the nearest corridor to eat our lunch. Luckily we were in the best of company.(Pepe pictured below)

Today we were particularly put together. Curled hair, cute dresses. It warranted a befitting stroll down the Champs Elysees. Sure, we won’t drop 2,000 euros on a Louis or spend 35 euros on a protein free salad but what other surroundings could truly compliment this togetherness? We were practically camouflaged amongst the immaculately pruned bushes, Arc de Triumph and Gucci.

From there to our glorious casita to rest up, work and get ready for a wonderful evening on the town. Our dear friend suggested only the best of what Paris has to offer and we took the strong advice and headed to the Curio Parlor. A simple black door. No signs, no welcome. A cocktail lounge down a tiny back alley where only the privileged locals frequent. Turned out to be a Cocktail lounge sans the tail. We were the only femmes in attendance. The men watched from a distance and only one man dared present himself. A French Brit. An outcast in his own country. He absolutely loathed Americans. We are still trying to figure out why he loved us so much. He said it was the smile. In fact, the word on the street is that the French think that the good USA gals are quick on the draw, wink wink.

We did manage to pick his brain for a long while. Still bewildered by the events that ensued the previous evening, specifically why we received the hard core come on in a gay bar. To our surprise, it is in fact common practice for straight men to pick up fag hags left astray. This is a partial answer to our questions about human sexuality however it does not explain all of the events we encountered. We intend to continue our research. More to come.

We stopped into the Buddha Bar to see a good friend. Afterwards head home to rest up for what promises to be a wonderful day upon waking.
